WATERY WATERBLOCKER - WATER SEPARATION WITHIN TUBES
It is possible that the tubes may exhibit a watery separation of ingredients. The condition occurs more often in 8 ounce tubes and less in 4 ounce tubes. For this reason, we have discontinued the 8 ounce size. Jars can exhibit water separation but only when left on their side. This condition is caused by gravity pulling the water from the cream into the small air pockets that form in tubes when they are squeezed. This process occurs slowly but can result in a messy blob when you squeeze the tube.

We have not found a good way to prevent water separation short of using strong unnatural binding chemicals, which we do not want to do. You can squeeze the contents back and forth to reconstitute. Heating for 5 seconds in a microwave WITH LID OPEN will help melt the contents so water can be reconstituted more evenly and completely. CAUTION: DO NOT HEAT FOR MORE THAN 5 SECONDS AT A TIME. BURNS MAY OCCUR!! Put a paper towel under the tube, just in case there is spillage due to heated air pressure.
If you need the convenience or the sanitary aspect of a tube, we recommend the 4 ounce size, but understand that some water separation can still occur even in the 4 ounce size. Otherwise, the jars will be a better choice.
