- It is the same cream as in the jars, however, it is possible for the tubes to experience some water separation. As a tube is squeezed, air pockets develop in the cream. Water can separate out of the cream and into these air pockets causing the cream to appear watery. Usually, a tube can be squeezed back and forth to reconstitute the water. This works even better if you warm the tube in a pan of warm water to about 120 degrees before kneading the cream back and forth. Unfortunately, this action does not always work. Water separation is prevented in other brand creams through use of strong binders (harmful chemicals) which we avoid in our natural creams. If you do not need the sanitary aspect of a squeeze tube we suggest buying the 4oz Waterblocker in a jar. The jars do not get air pockets and therefore do not experience separation.
